| The Logo Factory is a web-based corporate identity design company that creates logos and graphic design images for clients throughout the world, and has been doing so since 1996. Clients view our gallery and case study examples, SUBMIT their job requests to our dedicated and talented team of logo designers, who then take these ideas and bring them to visual reality with initial logo concepts. These images are then previewed on our Factory Floor section, a restricted access area where clients can request revisions and fine- tune their logo until it is exactly what they're after. And the client never leaves their monitor, whether they're in The USA, Europe or Asia.
AFTER the logo creation process is completed, TLF designers then can assist their clients through the add-on design phase, creating everything from business cards, to letterheads and stationery to very sophisticated web presentations and Flash logo animation utilizing flash multimedia and Fireworks web publishing technology. The Logo Factory is truly a one-stop design house supplying global clients with everything from design concepts to finalized printed material. Other current projects include Logos in a Box and LDP Professional Directory. Steve Douglas is the founder and current creative director of TLF and has been involved in the graphic design and arts field for two decades. Having studied traditional illustration at Sheridan College of Visual Arts, as well as traditional art and photography at OCA and Three Schools, Steve has been both a magazine and ad agency art director. He founded his own freelance studio in 1990. This freelance project evolved on the Internet into The Logo Factory, after an online personal portfolio drew request after request for logo design. "Over the years I tried to utilize my training as an illustrator but clients kept coming back for logo design. It seemed to be something I was good at, and was a niche market that pretty well developed itself. In 1996 I decided that I shouldn't fight it any more and began to formalize what would that year become The Logo Factory." Once marketed as The Logo Factory on the Internet, demand for design skyrocketed, quickly outgrowing the availability and means of a 'one-man-show'. To counter this, Douglas began the exhausting process of assembling a team of talented designers who specialized in logo design and corporate identity, combined with a knowledge of the latest technology and techniques (including Flash logo animation) . This was combined with a customer service department to create a true design 'factory', capable of handling and processing client REQUESTS from around the globe. The TLF house logo also has a story. As Douglas puts it - "I had just started TLF in it's new version (after giving up my day job as an art director at a graphic design house) and was working out of my dining room office (hence the house). Business over the web was growing quickly, and I was designing logo after logo (hence the boxes rolling out of the house). My children were always complaining that I was working too much, and so I tended to work at the wee hours of the morning when Matthew and Amy were asleep (hence the lone light when all other windows are dark). The only real problem was that my dining room office was on the first floor, but that was overlooked for design effectiveness..."
